Tata Cliq appoints Vikas Purohit as COO

Tata Group’s business arm, Tata Cliq, has hired an experienced player to lead the commercial and seller management function. Vikas Purohit, the former head of Amazon's fashion vertical and Paytm executive has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Tata Cliq.

According to the Economic Times report, "Purohit will be reporting to Ashutosh Pandey, Chief Executive Officer of Cliq and will be handling a variety of diverse responsibilities."

Apart from the above-mentioned posts, Purohit, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management has also worked with Tommy Hilfiger, Reliance Brands, and Madura Garments for more than 10 years.

A company spokesperson confirmed the report, "Vikas Purohit will be joining as COO to spearhead our commercial and seller management function."

Launched only four months back, Tata Cliq offers products across apparel, footwear, and electronics from over 1,200 brands.

The spokesperson further added, “As we move towards scaling up our business and strengthening our footprint in the Indian e-commerce space, we will be building teams and bringing on board some of the best minds from the industry.“

The company is also planning to further expand its presence by adding more categories and brands.
