According to the agreement, Lattice is to provide specific versions of Synplify Pro and Synplify software as part of its programmable logic design environments, including the recently announced Lattice Diamond FPGA design environment, say sources at the companies.

“The extension of this long-standing collaboration will allow us to continue providing our mutual customers with optimized logic synthesis solutions for designing Lattice FPGAs,” said Jeff Garrison, director of FPGA marketing at Synopsys.

He added that the Synopsys Synplify and Synplify Pro synthesis products have been optimized to take full advantage of the unique architectural features of Lattice’s programmable logic devices and provide designers with the quality of results and productivity required to address the needs of their markets.

Te Oregon based Lattice has already been offering customers access to Synplify tools through the OEM agreement for more than 10 years.

The companies have stated that now Synplify and Synplify Pro for Lattice are easily available directly from Lattice through the Lattice Diamond and ispLEVER design software families.
