Healthcare spend continues to accelerate. As a percentage of GDP, it will double in the period 2002 to 2025, and double again by 2050. In Western economies it is forecasted to reach 25 percent of GDP.

Synergy will implement assystWEB for IT users, as well as assystMobile and the assystNET self-service portal which will be rolled out to end users globally. Synergy will also use assyst to build a knowledge base, capturing knowledge essential to the continual improvement and effective operation of the business.

Margaret Horne, IT Service assurance manager at Synergy Health, said, "We selected assyst after assessing it's capability against a comprehensive set of requirements encompassing all ITSM functions. We were particularly impressed by the customer portal and that Axios took the time to understand our processes and objectives right from the start of the procurement process. We look forward to working with them to roll assyst out to our global users and start realizing the benefits of self service."

Tasos Symeonides, CEO at Axios Systems, said: "It's great to welcome Synergy Health on board. Like us, they are a company that believes that business outcomes can be improved through collaboration and we look forward to working with them to deliver efficiency, innovation and deliver true business results through their ITSM strategy."
