Sync requests stall Google calendar

BANGALORE, INDIA: In a span of three days, Google Calender has misbehaved more than twice, worldwide. The service went down yesterday for an increased period of time, is being investigated by Google currently.

According to Google's Apps Status Dashboard, "We're aware of a problem with Google Calendar affecting a majority of users. The affected users are unable to access Google Calendar."

According to the Apps Status Dashboard, Google Calendar was also down on Tuesday for an extended period of time. According to the site, "An unusually large number of calendar synchronization requests from Android put Google Calendar into auto-failover mode, resulting in increased network traffic that caused affected users' calendars to perform poorly or appear unavailable. No data was lost."
