Sybase joins QlikTech to launch new BI solution

BANGALORE, INDIA: Enterprise software and services company Sybase, which focuses on managing and mobilizing information, today announced that it is launching an easy-to-use analytics solution in association with business intelligence software vendor QlikTech.

The product would enable user-driven dashboards, ad-hoc analysis and reporting, according to a release.

“Business intelligence is no longer just the domain of trained information professionals, but rather used every day by employees at all levels,” said Dan Lahl, director of product marketing, Intelligent Enterprise Solutions, Sybase.

“Both QlikView and Sybase IQ handle enormous amounts of data, and can accommodate large numbers of users, providing a hearty platform for conducting complex analysis that can be easily interpreted by the average business user,” he added.

Sybase IQ and QlikView approach analytics in a non-traditional manner, and together, they represent the next generation of business intelligence, opined Dan Lahl.

This intuitive solution is sure to provide an immediate advantage in decision making. "Users love QlikView because it allows them to use their information the way they think, analyzing complex data in an intuitive way," said Anthony Deighton, senior vice president of marketing, QlikTech.
