CHENNAI: New York-headquartered Sutherland Global Services has announced its expansion into the Philippines. The company is building a new presence in Manila scheduled to be operational next month, employing over 500 professionals in the initial phase.

Sutherland manages operations on behalf of global clients in 14 locations in the US (Rochester and Syracuse, NY), Canada (Vernon, British Columbia and Sault Ste Marie, Ontario) and India (Chennai, Mumbai).

On its expansion plans in India and overseas, Sutherland Global Services chairman and CEO Dilip Vellodi said, "Quality and scalability are two of Sutherland's key objectives and in the past 12 months we have opened two new operations centers in India and one in Canada. We will continue to ramp our India operations and other locations as we expand our capacity in Philippines".

He further added, "We are confident that the talent pool and robust infrastructure in India and Philippines will provide advantages of cost, scalability and, more importantly, value across the spectrum of services we offer our clients. With our geographical reach, our ability to introduce new services and capability to meet the changing and growing needs of our clients and their customers has increased our competitive edge in the market place."
