Supertron to distribute eMachines

 NEW DELHI, INDIA: Acer announced the launch of two new eMachines—the D525 on the celeron platform and the D725 on the Pentium dual core platform. The move can be seen as a natural progression to its multi-brand strategy announced a few days back in India.

Since its launch in 1998, more than five million eMachines systems have been shipped globally and it was the second-largest vendor of desktop PCs sold through US retail prior to its merger with Acer.

The brand philosophy is focused on building affordable, no-compromise PCs delivering incredible value and performance and is globally positioned as trustworthy offering for the value for money segment, offering practical solutions.

Acer also announced an exclusive distribution tie-up with Supertron electronics for eMachines across the country in its launch phase.

“The eMachines brand of notebooks being launched are the right tools for work and entertainment, promising optimized performance that simplifies daily computing. It comes equipped with a simple but neat design,” according to S Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India.

The eMachines D525 is available for Rs 24,999 and eMachines D725 Rs 27,999.
