SUNNYVALE, CALIFORNIA: SonicWALL, Inc., a leading secure network infrastructure company, has announced that ImageSys, LLC, a pioneering technology solutions provider and SonicWALL silver partner located in the greater Washington, D.C. area, has successfully deployed award-winning SonicWALL Email Security (SES) at a wide range of small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), including medical, financial, architectural and non-profit environments.

SES is an award-winning anti-spam, anti-virus, anti-phishing, policy, and compliance management e-mail protection solution. While some competitive products are only available as server-resident software, SES is offered either as Windows software, or as a completely separate hardened appliance designed to significantly reduce server overhead and enhance security.

"We've tested different anti-spam products like Barracuda, both in our test labs and in real-world networks out in the field," said Hamed Rahimi, president, ImageSys LLC. "Nothing has come close to SonicWALL."

Over the last six months, ImageSys has deployed nearly half a dozen SES appliances for SMB customers like Disabled Sports USA, a nationwide sports rehabilitation organization supporting people with permanent disabilities. "SonicWALL attacked their spam problem immediately," said Rahimi. "The difference was like night and day."

"SonicWALL has presented the best competitive value for the price point when we've compared it to Cisco or Barracuda," said Rahimi. "SonicWALL lets us offer our customers an anti-spam solution that really works."

The unique SonicWALL GRID Network collects billions of e-mail reputation inputs from SonicWALL customers as well as spam-traps, real-time black lists, and desktop users. SES uses this to quickly and accurately identify new threats and keep SMBs protected with automatic spam and virus updates every five minutes. "Other products we've looked at can take an hour between updates," said Rahimi. "In that time we can easily receive dozens of new spam types."

SES protects ImageSys clients against inbound spam, phishing, viruses, denial-of-service, directory harvest and zombie attacks, while securing outbound leaks of confidential information and violations of regulatory compliance laws without requiring additional separate compliance modules. SES also makes it easy for end users to safely manage their own allow-list filtering without burdening IT.

SES leverages existing LDAP data, enabling ImageSys to streamline deployment and administration by eliminating dual-entry of user information. "Configuration is almost immediate," said Rahimi. "Maintenance and administration has been painless compared with other spam filters. It even gives me graphic reporting to track actual ROI."

"The great thing about SES is that it works in any environment, with any e-mail server," said Rahimi. "Our customers don't want to take on any costly alteration of their existing infrastructure just to take care of spam."

ImageSys is now also able to offer its clients the additional flexibility and expansion capability of the recently-released SonicWALL Email Security for Microsoft Windows Small Business Server (SES for SBS).

SES for SBS is specifically designed to install directly on the SBS hardware server in order to provide ease of installation and low cost of ownership. It integrates with SBS to deliver superior anti-spam, anti-phishing, and anti-virus protection, and prevent DHA, DOS attacks by employing advanced connection management before mail traffic reaches SBS. Additionally, SES for SBS offers centrally-managed rules and policies as well as superior reporting and management, helping IT to reduce time spent administrating e-mail protection.
