Super Infosoft develops translation software

NEW DELHI: Delhi-based Super InfoSoft has developed India's first translation

software for the translation of Hindi documents to English and vice-versa. The

product christened 'Anuvadak' is now commercially available. The product has

been developed by a team of ten professionals working closely with translators

in various government and non-government organizations.

The software has been developed with Visual C++ using artificial intelligence

techniques. Priced at Rs 1.5 lakhs, the package includes training, customization

and customization support for one year to configure the software to respond to

the unique needs of the organization. Says Super InfoSoft MD Anjali Roychowdhury,

"We have included some default dictionaries and customization would help

the software become more accurate."

The software is currently installed and running at 300 sites and the company

is looking at an aggressive expansion plan. "We have nearly 150 satisfied

customers to testify for the strength of the product," says Roychowdhury.

And clients include ministries, banks, PSUs and other blue chip companies.






Super InfoSoft is looking at the appointment of 50 resellers for Anuvadak,
across the northern part of the country, where the product finds maximum

utility. The company is essentially targeting SIs and VARs to appoint as their

partners. "While our partners will do the order booking, we will undertake

the entire customization," adds Roychowdhury.

"We are looking at 3,000 installations by the end of March 2002,"

informs Roychowdhury, of her expansion plans. Phase II of the product roadmap

includes the product being available as a hardware chip, and Phase III would

include the product available as a web-based service, using a pay-per-use model.

The company is also looking at developing e-governance solutions based on the

translation engine.
