SunTec sessions to take centrestage at Sibos 2009

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sibos 2009, the platform for the financial industry to come together and create opportunities for individuals, organizations and the community as a whole, will see Kerala-based technology major SunTec Business Solutions take centrestage with two industry-oriented sessions. Sibos 2009 will get underway in Hong Kong on September 14 and will extend up to September 18.

According to a SunTec official in Thiruvananthapuram, SunTec’s campaign at Sibos 2009 will include a session on ‘Derive Profitability – Bringing in Best Practices in Pricing from Across Industries’, by Sathish Chandran, SunTec’s Application Management and Consulting Head, that dwells upon why banks need to adopt the best practices from across industries to build their customer relations, and thus increase profitability.

Also there will be a presentation by SunTec CEO K Nanda Kumar on how relationship-based pricing can help banks turn crisis into opportunity by enabling personalized pricing, fixing revenue leakage points and by offering benefits to customers based on the value they bring in.

Nanda Kumar's paper will be titled ‘Sprouting Opportunities amidst Global Turmoil through Optimal Customer-Centric Pricing’. While Sathish will make his presentation on September 15 and Nanda Kumar's session will be on on September 16.

Elaborating, Nanda Kumar said, “Banks are now looking at non-conventional ways to increase profitability. Imbibing best practices from multiple industries and Relationship-based Pricing strategies can help them sail through the crisis by enabling them to offer unique benefits to customers based on profitability.”

Sibos 2009 will provide a unique platform for the financial sector to meet, discuss, learn, to do business and keep in touch with what is going on in the industry. It is expected to create a stimulus for learning, for collaborating, for developing new business, for defining future strategies and for taking collective action that can shape the future of our industry, said a SunTec official.

Sibos attracts over thousands of participants from the financial industry ranging from the established financial institutions to application and middleware vendors, system integrators, central clearing systems and consultants.

Last year, over 250 companies worldwide exhibited at Sibos. In addition to the exhibition, Sibos offers a rich and diverse conference programme featuring leading experts from our industry who come to debate, share their knowledge and insights and discuss the issues that are at the top of financial industry’s agenda, the official added.
