Sun releases NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5 Preview

NEW DELHI: Sun Microsystems has recently announced the preview release of NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5 - its next-generation development platform for enterprise architects and programmers.





The second preview in the series, this release offers UML modeling, XML tools, and Web services orchestration to the NetBeans community and is available bundled along with NetBeans IDE 5.5 Preview and Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 9 Beta. Using the IDE's tools and runtimes, applications and Web services for the latest release of Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5 (Java EE 5) can be built.





The NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5 Preview, boasts of great functionality and simple installation. The UML Modeling feature includes two-way, round-trip engineering, markerless code, language -independent, abstract modeling etc.





SOA visual design tools like the XML Schema tool — for visualizing and editing XML Schema, view relationships between schema elements, Web services orchestration — to author, build deploy, and test BPEL4WS 1.1 processes are some new additions to this release.
