NEW DELHI: Sun Microsystems organized the "III iForce Roundtable"
in Delhi for its iForce program members. iForce is a platform for Sun and its
partners to share and discuss e-business trends and insights into latest
technology as well as an opportunity for the iForce program members to network
and build important partnerships.
The iForce concept in India has been successful with almost 100 companies
signing up. The third roundtable was based on enhancing field engagements
between Sun's systems-focused and solutions-focused partners in the areas of
Internet, ERP, CRM and Security.
QAI, India and APAC executive director Navyug Mohnot, gave the keynote address
on "Business and Quality in Economic downturns". He said,
"Quality is about exceeding the customers' expectation. This could be done
through doing things more efficiently or doing things differently. More often
quality is compromised in pursuit of other goals". He stressed upon the
fact that during downturn companies have time to focus on increasing the quality
of their products or services and putting things in place.
The other speakers on the occasion included Sun Microsystems Systems Engg.,
director Anil Valluri, who spoke on Sun's vision and Sun ONE. Rajendra Pratap,
Alliance Manager, Infosys, spoke on "Infosys in Banking solution" and
Sanjay Pande, Manager, Systems, TCS spoke on "Security and its
importance".
