HYDERABAD: Suma Informatics Limited, an IT enabled services provider from

Hyderabad, has tied up with The Metropolitan Community College’s Business and

Technology Center (BTC) for offering training in customer care and call center

management. Suma has tied up with BTC for their training, curriculum and

certification. Suma plans to offer a three-month job oriented course for a fee

of Rs 30,000. The company plans to set up a 100-seat call center, which would be

ready by the end of April. The call center’s capacity will be increased to 500

seats by the end of this year.

The company, which has already invested around Rs 1 crore in the project,

will spend a total of Rs 16 crore over a period of six months for setting up the

call center. "There is enormous employment opportunity created by the call

center market. According to IDC, around 40,000 call center professionals would

be needed in Hyderabad alone during the next two years we are hopeful of

creating a resource base for that space," said Suma Informatics vice

president Hazeem Sait.

A person just needs to have good communication skills and what’s more there

is no bar on age, sex or qualification for such services. A beginner could get a

pay scale of around Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 after successful completion of the

course. Suma would provide job opportunities to all its candidates in its own

call center in India and abroad. It will also assist in placing its candidates

in call centers in America and other countries with the help of BTC, which

already is a training and manpower provider in the American continent. Based in

Kansas, it provides services to major call center companies including GE

Capital, Sprint, Citibank, AT&T, American West Airlines, Vanguard, Gateway

2000 and many more in the US.
