Subex enhances telecom product suite

BANGALORE: Subex Systems, a telecom software products provider, today announced the release of ONTrack, a subscriber risk management solution.

The company hopes that this latest product will bolster its existing RevMax suite of telecom maximization products that already includes Ranger, a fraud management software solution and INcharge, a revenue assurance solution.

“ONTrack is the only end-to-end risk management product in the market, which encompasses all the stages of the lifecycle right from activation, usage to payment recovery,” said Subash Menon, president and CEO, Subex Systems.

He said that the company would target the product at the top 40 global telco operators and also its existing base of 80 telecom customers. However, Menon said that he doesn't expect revenues from this product in the next ten months.

He said that the product would help companies get better insight into subscriber behavior. About competition in this niche segment which is slowly gaining in significance, Menon said that there were competitors who looked at specific areas in risk management like collections or upfront screening and not end-to-end like ONTrack.

The company hopes to tap the addressable market estimated between $300-400 million. Menon said that the proposed issue of Global Depository Receipts (GDR) to raise $10 million was to fuel inorganic expansion. “We are looking at acquiring companies in the area of telecom.
