Svetosiav Markov, product manager (Billing), STROM, said that Indian market is the most viable for the telecom companies to grow and that is the reason for setting up the office here.

“We have finalized to set up the office in Bangalore as it is the IT hub of the country. It will initially be a sales office, which will later be expanded. We will have a Regional Sales Director to head the office here,” Markov said.

He said that they are eyeing the Indian mobile service providers for offering Real-Time Convergent Billing Solution. He said that the growing market for data transfers and the number of services available to users means that operators need a powerful billing tool in order to keep up with service usage. The company provides billing solutions both for pre-paid as well as post-paid subscribers.

Marvok said that they are looking for some local partners for making an entry in to the mobile market in India.

“We will be partnering with system integrators for marketing in India. We are looking for partners who are experienced in the Indian telecom market. We are in talks with a couple of them currently, but are yet to finalise the partners in this step,” Marvok added.

The sales office in India will have around 10 people including a Regional Sales Director.

Speaking about the telecom market in India Marvok said that there is huge potential for growth here and with mobile subscriber base growing at a rapid pace, it would be the right time to set up their operations.

STROM telecom has developed a billing solution that is able to meet the demands of the customers and the subscribers. “Our billing system is to satisfy the customers and the operators through a single billing system. Real-Time Convergent Billing Solution allows for the combination of service activation, rating and discounting and billing into a system with real-time session control. This offers operators better support of their critical business processes, which results in lower costs and larger margins,” he said.

STROM has customers throughout Europe, Russia and Asia, engaged in extensive on-going large-scale projects.
