Sterlite wins National Telecom Award

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Sterlite Technologies announced that it has received award for ‘Fastest Growing System Integrator’ at the CMAI INFOCOM National Telecom Awards 2010.

Held annually on World Telecom Day, the National Telecom Awards aim to identify and recognize outstanding contributions to the ICT sector for building a national telecom network and thus providing an effective means of communications.

Sterlite has been instrumental in helping Indian telcos to set up new networks and upgrade their infrastructure, which has enabled them to provide high Quality of Service (QoS) for ICT offerings, since the commencement of its integration and managed services business.

On receiving the award, Rahul Sharma, Business Head–Integration and Managed Services, Sterlite Technologies, said “We really feel honored to have been chosen for the award and we would like to thank CMAI, INFOCOM and the respected jury for this recognition.”

The award ceremony was attended by several prominent dignitaries that included Dr JS Sharma, Chairman, TRAI, PJ Thomas, Secretary, DoT and Chairman, Telecom Commission and Wen Chyi Ong, Ambassador, Taiwan for India, amongst others.
