The highlight will be a keynote by eminent software testing authority, Lee Copeland, who is also a consultant with Software Quality Engineering, USA (SQE) and the author of "A Practitioner's Guide to Software Test Design", said a press release.

"This summit is well timed with the opportunities that market forces are driving for testing, in new technology areas covering mobility, cloud, social platforms and analytics. Testing is the backbone enabling all these front-end user applications, and customer expectations are driving enterprises to rethink customer experience with these technologies, said SteP-IN.

The release further added that a NASSCOM report has pegged the worldwide software testing outsourcing market to grow from $30 billion in 2010 to $50 billion in 2020. India is expected to be the biggest beneficiary of this growth.

In a first-of-its-kind survey in India jointly by Dataquest and STeP-IN, it was found that testing in India is one of the key revenue generators for IT service organizations. More than 80 per cent respondents reported full-time or dedicated testers for 70 per cent or more of test activities.

Some of the eminent speakers at the software testing summit include Sashi Reddi, VP & GM, Big Data and Analytics, CSC, Keith Klain, head of Global Test Center, Barclays and Srinivasan Desikan from HP Enterprise Services.
