NEW DELHI: SSI Ltd., which offers software education in emerging
technologies, and Sun Microsystems, Inc., provider of hardware, software and
services that power the Internet, have announced an education partnership. Under
the tie-up, SSI will offer industry-leading certification programs in Sun Java
and Solaris. Through this alliance, Sun Microsystems will deliver educational
programs on the official curriculum of Sun through dedicated SSI centers
designated as Authorized Sun Education Centers (ASEC).
The ASECs will initially be set up in Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
Commenting on this tie up, SSI chairman and CEO Kalpathi S Suresh said,
"This alliance is in line with our commitment to offer our students the
choice of authorized training programs that will give their IT qualification the
additional edge of direct vendor certification."
With this alliance, SSI will be one of the select IT training companies in
India to offer Sun Java and Solaris certification.
