BANGALORE: SSA Global, a provider of extended enterprise solutions and services, announced the completion of its acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Arzoon Inc., a provider of integrated logistics and global trade management technology. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"Today's acquisition of Arzoon demonstrates our ongoing commitment to provide worldwide customers with increased value through extended solutions," said Mike Greenough, president, chairman and CEO of SSA Global. "The combination of SSA Global and the supply chain execution functionality from Arzoon is a natural fit. We share several customers in the manufacturing sector, including companies in the high-technology, consumer packaged goods, logistics and transportation industries."

Arzoon's unified supply chain execution (SCE) infrastructure, which is used to increase supply chain velocity and performance, will augment SSA Global's existing supply chain management (SCM) solution and strategy, announced earlier this month. Arzoon brings its n-tier global logistics execution solution, which includes global transportation management, international trade compliance, inventory visibility, exception management, and trading partner management, to the SSA SCM portfolio. SSA Global customers will gain greater visibility into core SCE processes while reducing transportation and logistics costs, integrating security and trade compliance, and improving procurement, fulfillment and customer service.

SSA Global will initially focus on integrating Arzoon into SSA Transportation Management, a current SSA SCM offering. By combining Arzoon's functionality with SSA Transportation Management, as well as SSA Warehouse Management, SSA Global is delivering a world-class comprehensive and strategic SCM solution.

"Our customers need supply chain execution solutions to move products globally with the lowest total landed cost, while also providing visibility into their supply chain," said Jim Handy, president of SSA Global Strategic Solutions.

SSA Global's newly-formed Strategic Solutions team focuses on the extended enterprise, delivering SCM as well as CRM, SRM, CPM and PLM solutions that enable customers to improve operational efficiencies, drive time to market, optimize costs and increase overall productivity.
