PureSpeech combines SRS Labs’ VIP+ software, which improves audio quality at the near end (what the caller hears) with CSR’s Clear Voice Capture (CVC) noise reduction software, which improves audio quality at the far end (what the recipient hears), said a press release.

They companies plan to launch the product in the first quarter of 2009 as an option on CSR’s DSP-based BlueCore Multimedia Bluetooth silicon.

PureSpeech is a complete audio solution for manufacturers of Bluetooth devices that delivers an important competitive advantage by significantly improving sound clarity and tonal quality for both participants in a mobile phone call, even if one party does not have a PureSpeech-enabled headset/device, the release added.

“CSR is an ideal partner for SRS to expand its offering of audio processing solutions to an even wider range of Bluetooth audio products,” said Alan Kraemer, chief technology officer, SRS Labs.
