Honored by Microsoft as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) since 1997, Aaron has over 10 years of technical experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

"Aaron Bertrand has in-depth knowledge and experience with SQL Server and he has been generously sharing it for years with the SQL Server Community as noted by his recognition in various community venues," said Greg Gonzalez, President and CEO of SQL Sentry. "I have no doubt that Aaron will have a significant impact on our company and our software in many different ways."

I cannot overstate the significance of this addition to our team. Aaron is a noted expert, author and major community figure in our and Microsoft's eyes. He has had years of experience in a voluminous SQL Server enterprise supporting business critical applications and he can clearly identify and communicate the value of tools to overworked DBAs, said Nick Harshbarger, vice president of Sales and Marketing for SQL Sentry.

"As a long-time user of SQL Sentry's software, I've been impressed by the quality of their products as well as the camaraderie of the entire team," said Aaron Bertrand.

"Over the past year I have been involved in a benchmarking project that has measured in very fine and excruciating detail the minimal overhead of using SQL Sentry to monitor SQL Server. I can't wait to continue the work on this project as well as many others," added Bertrand.
