BANGALORE: In its efforts to widen its international reach, Spice Telecom has
announced to offer GSM roaming in US through its international roaming facility.

Through its tie-up with Voicestream in US, Spice Telecom now allows its

subscribers in Karnataka to roam across 50 states of the United States as well

as in more than 250 cities in Canada.

The collaboration with Voicestream comes follows Spice’s tie-up with Pacific Bell, Bell South, Powertel and Microcell to widen its international reach. Sean Dexter, Managing Director, Spice Telecom, Karnataka circle said, "With international long distance rates being slashed, completing our roaming service coverage of the American continent is a major value add for our customers who travel to the States and visitors to Karnataka from the States. Being connected to one’s business and family across the globe has now become an affordable option."

Spice Telecom’s international roaming facility throughout the United States of America and Canada will prove advantageous to the large traveling population in Karnataka. Spice Telecom has roaming facilities throughout Europe, the Middle East, several regions of Asia and Australia.

To avail of the international roaming facility, subscribers must have a GSM 1900 Mhz compatible handset with a tri-band/multi band facility to use any of the networks in the United States.
