Spice enables 'pulse control' in India

NEW DELHI: Spice Telecom, a cellular service provider in Punjab, has launched the V-7.5 Intelligent Network (IN), which according to the company release, is loaded with a whole host of features such as pulse control, balance alert on screen and roaming maximiser.

The release further states that Spice has introduced the pulse control feature for the very first time in India which allows the customer to control his mobile expenses, as customers can now choose the pulse rate before every call depending upon the expected call length.

For a short call, customers can choose a one second pulse and calls will be charged at only 5 paisa per second. And for the longer calls, customers can choose 60 second pulse and the same will be charged at the usual Rs 1.99 per minute. By using this service, the customer can save upto 27 percent on their mobile expense.



A prepaid customer can change the tariff from one-second pulse to 60-second pulse and vice-versa by dialing 777. Customer can change his pulse any number of times and this service is absolutely free.



In addition to pulse control, Spice also announced the launch of balance alert on screen and roaming maximizer service based on the IN. While balance alert on screen would provide Spice prepaid subscribers their latest balance on the mobile screen after every outgoing call, roaming maximizer would enable uninterrupted connectivity, while roaming, till zero balance.





According to Spice, these features will not only add more value to every prepaid connection but will also help the customer to plan the recharge as alerts will keep him updated on the available balance.
