Spectranet partners Nivio for hosted services

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Broadband service provider Spectranet announced its partnership with Nivio, a cloud computing company, to launch its subscription-based messaging and collaboration service offerings.

Spectranet would offer its hosted messaging and collaboration services in pay-as-you-go and zero investment models.

Spectranet will also offer a wide range of hosted solutions, including basic e-mail solutions for enterprise applications on Microsoft Exchange platform.

Udit Mehrotra, director, Spectranet, said, “We see tremendous growth in the overall email market in India growing from mere 15 percent in 2008 to CAGR of 52 percent by 2012. There is a huge potential of our hosted services from sectors such as IT/ITeS, BFSI, government, manufacturing, telecom, health, retail, trading etc.

Matt Colebourne, chief operating officer, Nivio, said, “Hosted services are the future; enterprises reap the benefits of rapid deployment, best of breed solutions and scalability.  They are also liberated from the financial headache of capital expense buying hardware and software and, instead, transform this into monthly spends based on usage.”
