"Building Next Gen Apps", is the theme around which the second edition of SPARK IT will be centered.

In the era where we are witnessing a paradigm shift in enterprises adopting cloud computing model for delivering and consumption of IT services Also the influx of devices like iPads and smartphones that have enough computing power to make a laptop or PC redundant, and the convergence of media information on all forms of devices; have also reflected upon the software development for such applications and services.

Building applications which are scalable, and are optimized for resource utilization is the new important trend which is being incorporated. Not only that; the applications now need to be more faster, more fluid and media-rich. With the focus towards mobility and the advent of devices like smartphones and even the iPads have made it incumbent to design applications that cater to every device, and are not just confined to desktop environments which is the case with most of today's applications.
