The villagers had gathered in front of a huge LED screen set up at the Ramalingeshwara School and the Minister for Information Technology Sri S R Patil was at the other end.

He tried to find solutions to their problems instantly. Where it (instant solution) was not possible, he was assuring them of time bound relief.

The Bilagi MLA J T Patil, stressed the need for constructing a link road between Janamatti Rehabiliation Centre and the village. Patil on the other end asked the UKP Rehabilitation Commissioner Shivayogi Kalasad,  whether the demand could be met or not. After a brief consultation with his colleagues Kalasad moved his head in affirmative.

Sugappa, a senior citizen demanded more number of buses connecting taluk and district headquarters. Though Minister could not give instant relief he said he would come out positively after taking up the matter with NWKRTC authorities. It was how the e-Spandan went on for over two hours.

It was an attempt to take the government at the doorstep of rural masses. The initiative would work like a bridge between people and the government machinery, and bring in more transparency in administration, the Minister said.

Srijan Pal Singh, the key person behind the initiative, said that the e-Spandana tool will go long way in providing one to one interaction between people and those in power. It provides common platform eradicating hierarchical barriers. Even common man can speak in equal terms with those in power. It has all the potential to replace the traditional way of governance and reaching the people. Unmistakably, it makes rulers more accountable and provides quick relief, he asserted.
