South Carolina refreshes tax admin, appraisal

TEXAS, USA: Tyler Technologies Inc. has signed a contract with Lexington County, South Carolina, to implement Tyler’s iasWorld appraisal and tax administration software. The agreement includes implementation of iasWorld’s Tax Billing & Collections (TB&C) functions, professional services and maintenance.

Lexington County will use iasWorld TB&C to extend, collect and distribute property taxes and related charges quickly and easily. The county selected multiple iasWorld tax functions, including tax billing and document management, as well as Tyler CashieringTM to process payments in-office, as explained in an update.

Lexington County has a population of 270,400, and a portion of the state’s most populous city and capital, Columbia, is located within the county. Lexington, the county seat and largest town in the county, uses Tyler’s Incode local government and municipal court solutions.
