Sophos names new country manager

NEW DELHI, INDIA: IT security and data protection company Sophos today named Kuldeep Raina as country manager for India. He will be based in New Delhi and report to Sophos vice president for Asia Pacific, Stuart Fisher.

Raina will be responsible for driving Sophos's overall business performance in India, one of the fastest-growing markets in Asia Pacific, said a press release.

Leveraging 16 years of industry experience, he will spearhead all operations spanning sales and marketing, as well as deliver on strategic plan to grow revenue and market share, said a press release.

Raina was most recently with Symantec. He has also held sales roles with McAfee, Stonesoft Corporation and IronPort (Cisco Systems).

"India is a strategic market for Sophos and our business there has grown exponentially over the last two years. I believe Raina's extensive business development experience will enable us to penetrate the market further and wider, especially in high-growth sectors such as education, financial services, government and Telco" said Stuart Fisher, vice president for Asia Pacific at Sophos.

"I am excited to join the Sophos regional team to help further its presence in India through strategic initiatives including partner enablement and leveraging the market potential to meet the increasing need for comprehensive network security," said Kuldeep Raina, country manager - India at Sophos.
