In terms of specifications, Sony Xperia XZs is a minor upgrade to its predecessor Xperia XZ, which launched in September last year. Its main highlights are the 19-megapixel Motion Eye camera - with super slow motion video recording, and the capable Snapdragon 820 SoC. For selfie lovers, there’s a 13-megapixel clicker up front.

The Motion Eye camera system will also be found on the Xperia XZ Premium , which comes with  4K DHR display and the Snapdragpn 835 SoC and is set to be released in June.

Meanwhile, Sony Xperia XZs comes with 4GB of RAM along with two storage variants - 32GB and 64GB, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via an external microSD slot. Additionally, the smartphone houses a 2900mAh battery and includes connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C port.

The single-SIM smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat, but Sony may launch the dual-SIM variant in India - as it has done with previous smartphones.
