Google launches three new 4K home projectors

Sony Electronics announced the pricing and availability of its new three 4K projectors. All the three new models from Sony come with HDR support for contrast and color. They’re part of the highly acclaimed and widely reviewed VPL-VW lineup of 4K projection models that have been getting released since at least 2015 and according to Sony, all three of these latest models offer “breathtakingly real picture quality”.

First, is the Sony VPL VW285ES which is capable of 4K HDR visuals on a screen size of up to 200 inches priced at $5000. Sony has a step-up VPL-VW385ES model for just under $8,000 that uses an advanced iris to increase contrast and detail in dark areas. This adds vivid and lifelike detail to both highlights and dark scenes.

Or you could opt for its other new 4K projector, the compact VPL-VW885ES with a laser light source capable of 2,000 lumens that cost $25,000. Both the VPL-VW285ES and the VPL-VW385ES are available now. The VPL-VW885ES will be available from November 1.

Sony also announced that Kaleidescape will partner with Sony to provide new promotional offers for consumers who purchase a Sony 4K HDR projector and Kaleidescape 4K player.
