CALIFORNIA, USA: Sony Corp said it would take at least 'a few more days'  to restore service to its online PlayStation Network, which was breached by hackers in one of the largest Internet break-ins of all time.

In a new statement posted on Sony's PlayStation blog on Tuesday, Sony spokesman Patrick Seybold said: "I know you all want to know exactly when the services will be restored. At this time, I can't give you an exact date, as it will likely be at least a few more days."

The online gaming service has been offline since April 19 when Sony noticed unauthorized activity on the servers. Sony has said that the personal information of more than 100 million users had been breached, on the PlayStation Network as well as through other online games services.

It said it could not rule out that some 12.3 million credit-card numbers had been stolen during the hacking.
