Sonata in pact with US firm

BANGALORE: IT Consulting and Software Services Company, Sonata Software Ltd has announced a strategic partnership with U.S., Atlanta based software engineering firm TechDiscovery. According to the agreement, the US company would offer managed right-shore software development services to its US clients, through Sonata.



Managed Right-Shore software development refers to the blending of domestic — in this case, US based - and international resources to deliver superior custom software applications at rates that are reduced up to 50 percent. Under the partnership, Sonata will be the international off shore development partner and TechDiscovery will be the domestic development partner for clients



Expressing his view on the relationship, Mr. BE. Ramaswamy, CEO- Sonata Software Limited said, "The alliance between TechDiscovery and Sonata leverages Sonata’s delivery excellence and TechDiscovery’s process for executing on a successful Managed Right-Shore model." said B. Ramaswamy, CEO of Sonata Software. "Sonata’s approach to forging alliances is based on a shared vision, one we enjoy with TechDiscovery as it involves a significant level of co-operation in service delivery."



TechDiscovery and Sonata are currently underway with several joint software development projects for Atlanta-based software companies



Commenting on the Sonata-TechDiscovery Alliance, Stan Anderson, Managing Partner-TechDiscovery said, "it is impossible to ignore the value of sending software development offshore for a number of our clients.
