This will enable social enterprises including Indian central and state government departments to improve service delivery, cut costs and improve outcomes for the citizens they serve.

Like most governments around the globe, the central and state governments of India are constrained by manual, time consuming processes and a need to provide services to an increasing amount of individuals and households that fall below the poverty line. The ‘pen and paper’ model prevents agencies from efficiently tracking and monitoring cases, does not allow for collaboration between agencies and requires citizens to visit agencies in person in order to apply for government assistance.

Cúram Software and Mastek have come together to address these specific issues and streamline the financial assistance, food security, employment services schemes, women and child welfare schemes and other critical social programs throughout India, said a press release.
