Snapdeal, Oplus launch XonPad 7 calling tablet

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Indian online retailer Snapdeal has partnered with Taiwanese manufacturer Oplus to launch the XonPad 7. The tablet has a 7-inch screen, Android 4.2 operating system and will be available exclusively on the e-commerce website, not retail stores or other e-tailers.

The new Oplus XonPad 7 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, with 1GB RAM, and has display resolution of 1280x800p.

This device has metal body, weighs 310gram and comes with 16GB internal storage, with microSD support up to 32GB.

Oplus XonPad 7 features 3G calling functionality, and can also access the internet on the go over 2G networks. Other key features of the tablet include 5MP rear camera, 2MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and microUSB.

Beside the three standard keys, the tablet also has volume controls and screenshot capture on-screen buttons. Apart from this, the company has not added any other software features.

Priced at Rs. 9,990, this tablet competes against the first-gen Google Nexus 7, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, Asus FonePad 7, Xolo Play Tegra Note and Micromax Canvas Tab.
