SMC to market Zeus' load-balancing software

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIFORNIA: Zeus Technology, provider of award-winning application traffic management software, and SMC Networks, provider of networking solutions for the SMB/e market, have entered into a partnership, through which SMC will market Zeus Technology's ZXTM (Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager) load-balancing software to its resellers and SMB/e clients for use with SMC's network switching products.

As a pure software solution, Zeus Technology's ZXTM is ideally-positioned to optimize network efficiency, providing the SMB/e market with a high-performance, easy-to-use Application Load Balancing product.

The SMC Networks - Zeus Technology partnership brings together these two network-focused companies that are collectively working to design and market products that meet the unique needs of the SMB/e market. SMC's high-performance Gig/10G switching and advanced wireless solutions for the SMB/e market are complemented by the advanced features of ZXTM. ZXTM is available for Windows, Linux, Solaris and FreeBSD, and is the only load balancing solution available as a virtual appliance for VMware Virtual Infrastructure and on Microsoft Virtual Server.

The ZXTM Virtual Appliance for Windows provides a well-proven alternative to more expensive, less sophisticated hardware load balancers. ZXTM enables enterprises to deploy load balancing, high availability, traffic shaping, acceleration, security and sophisticated traffic management policies within their Windows-hosted infrastructure.
