SkySQL makes highly available databases easy with MariaDB enterprise

LONDON, UK: SkySQL, the trusted experts in MariaDB and MySQL database software, announced the general availability of MariaDB Enterprise. The company's newest product makes it simple for database administrators and developers to deploy advanced, high-availability clustering in support of the most demanding applications.

MariaDB Enterprise builds on the widely adopted open source MariaDB Server and Galera Cluster software by enabling users to provision a cluster of separate database servers in minutes. Once up and running, MariaDB Enterprise helps users manage and monitor their clustered database resources with an intuitive dashboard.

MariaDB Enterprise is sold as a renewable one year subscription, which includes up to 24x7 coverage, all maintenance updates and patches, and quick access to the experienced support team at SkySQL. The software is open source and runs on the Linux operating system. It can be installed on-premise, in virtualized or cloud environments.

MariaDB Enterprise uses Galera Cluster, a synchronous, multi-master replication technology that is rapidly gaining adoption where fully redundant databases are required. It can manage Galera Clusters implemented with MariaDB or MySQL databases.
