Central to the agreement is iSOFT's global innovation partnership, which enables SingHealth, the largest cluster of public healthcare institutions in Singapore, to contribute to the ongoing and future product development of iSOFT's, LORENZO.

The use of LORENZO will allow SingHealth to track patient treatment and their outcomes, thereby ensuring that the delivery of care to Singapore citizens is consistent and kite marked with best practice healthcare.

The ability to capitalise on SingHeath's existing investment in iSOFT's technology is seen as a key benefit for the organisation. Several hundred thousand medical records for Singaporean citizens are already stored electronically by the organisation and this partnership ensures a seamless transition to a lifelong universal medical record.

Through the use of accessible consumer technologies such as Digital Interactive TV, Internet and mobile services, LORENZO allows individuals to manage their care more effectively.

Patients can access their own medical records, coordinate care online, book treatment appointments, and obtain information about therapy options, services which SingHealth are keen to explore and promote in order to reform healthcare in the region.
