With Unimobile's global messaging technology, Singapore Airlines will be the

first airline to extend wireless alert services to customers outside its home

base region. Unimobile has worked in tandem with Singapore Airlines to design

the flight alert services, which will be made available to SIA customers in over

30 countries, including the United States.

The airliner will use Unimobile's Mobile Messaging Platform (MMP) and the

Unimobile Intelligent Network (UIN) to enable real-time delivery of

customer-selected alerts and notifications to customers' mobile devices.

"With the selection of Unimobile's messaging platform and 24x7 global

network, Singapore Airlines will now be able to reach its customers worldwide

irrespective of where they are or which carrier or network they use," Yap

Kim Wah, senior vice president of products and services for Singapore Airlines.

SIA customers can select to receive alerts for up to three flights and can

also choose one or more of multiple alerts offered. Customers can also select

the times and time intervals at which they wish to receive alerts. For example,

passengers could choose to receive an alert three hours before a flight

departure and at intervals of one hour until departure.

The Unimobile MMP also offers message tracking and message delivery

confirmation modules, which allow administrators to track the message path,

message status and delivery details. Advanced monitoring tools allow

administrators to generate reports on specific services opted for and messages

delivered to each user, to facilitate analysis of each service offering.
