Siemens sets up Centre of Excellence in Kolkata

MUMBAI: Siemens, today announced the launch of its Centre of Excellence (CoE) for "Managed Services" out of its new state-of-the-art facility at Kolkata.

Catering to telecom companies and integrated service providers, the new CoE will offer a full range of operations and maintenance services. The services will help optimize and enhance performance of these companies in both, developed and emerging markets.

The new CoE is spread across 40,000 sq. ft area at the Millennium Tower in Kolkata. With this, SISL will now offer a complete spectrum of managed services that will help telecom companies and integrated service providers improve their profits, productivity, enhance overall network performance and speedup the return on investments, while reducing operational expenses.

The Managed Services CoE will focus on offering end-to-end application management and operations, performance management, remote network operations and maintenance solutions. This includes contact center services, revenue management and business analytics to application development support, performance analysis of networks and maintenance of operations function.

Speaking to the media on the occasion of the launch of the new facility, Anil Laud, managing director, SISL stated, "Through managed services we share the associated risks

with our customers. We not only supply a solution, but also extend our services through operations, technology support, consulting and applications management. This ensures that our customers derive the expected value from the solutions delivered".
