Established in 1978, FEC specializes in manufacturing SHARP electric home appliances and OEM business for global distribution, like USA, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Sweden, and many more. As an electric home appliance manufacturer, FEC intends to manufacture quality products by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies for the efficient production capacity, the announcement explained. To stay ahead of competitors, FEC needed a fully-functional CAD/CAM solution to maximally optimize the workflow of design and manufacture with reduced cost.

After in-depth research and careful evaluation, FEC picked ZW3D to help improve efficiency and boost productivity. “The ZW3D CAD/CAM solution gives us all functionalities that we need at a competitive price,” said Atikom Prangsuwan, Senior Product Designer of FEC, “It’s quite easy to create 3D models and quick to modify parts in ZW3D.”

Now FEC’s engineers would leverage existing data with streamlined modeling, mold design and manufacturing processes without re-engineering, boosting productivity with saved cost and shortened lead time, as stressed.

Atikom added, “ZW3D systematically helps the tasks in 3D Modeling, 2D Drawing and design structure of mold with improved efficiency.” Take mold design for example. In the past, FEC outsourced mold design which required around a week. But now, with ZW3D, mold design only takes 1 to 2 days.
