Shammi Kapoor tweets Deepika Padukone for coffee

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Yes, it is the new meeting place for many. From common people to politicians to actors everybody is there on Twitter to meet people, share their visions ideas and even idle thoughts.

However, when Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone, who is one among the many Twitter sensations, got a tweet asking for a coffee date from veteran actor Shammi Kapoor, it came as a surprise to her, she told PTI in an interview.

Though there are many Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Rampal, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Karan Johar who are active on Twitter, Deepika said she did not know that Kapoor had also joined twitter.

Deepika said now she is planning to meet the 78-year-old star.

“I've met Shammiji a couple of times and always felt this warmth towards him and I can feel the same from him. Even his wife has been very nice to me. Apparently he was tweeting me and I didn't even imagine that Shammiji would be on Twitter. But that happened just before I came here so when I go back I'll have my coffee date with him," said Deepika.

Cheers Deepkia, a lot can happen over a coffee! Hope you will not be welcome with a Pan Parag by the veteran!!
