CAMBRIDGE, US: Endeca Technologies, Inc., a search and business intelligence (BI) company, and MeLLmo, a provider of innovative mobile apps that allow users to view and interact with critical business information on-the-go, today announced a strategic partnership to develop and deliver new mobile BI applications that enable in-the-moment, on-the-go decision-making.

The companies will integrate their flagship BI products, Endeca Latitude and Roambi ES3, to let mobile workers search and explore data to answer critical questions from the palms of their hands.

Industries such as automotive, aerospace, high tech, industrial, consumer packaged goods, and life sciences rely on innovation to improve operational effectiveness, customer satisfaction, or product and service quality for an increasingly mobile workforce.

Endeca Latitude combines search and BI to help people find what they need and understand what they found. MeLLmo’s Roambi gives on-the-go workers interactive visualizations of company data on a mobile device anytime, anywhere. The companies’ new mobile BI applications will encourage people to explore and ask new questions — even on diverse and changing data — guiding them to better decisions.

“This integration partnership gives customers BI that overcomes the constraints of traditional systems,” said Dave Caruso, vice president, enterprise product management and marketing at Endeca. “It creates new ways for employees at all levels of an organization to find what they need and understand what they found for in-the-moment decisions no matter where they are, driving down costs, improving productivity, and increasing customer satisfaction.”

Endeca and MeLLmo have already begun work to integrate Endeca Latitude with Roambi ES3, allowing employees at all levels of the organization to push data from Endeca discovery applications to iPhone or iPadTM visualizations for further analysis anytime, anywhere.

“Combining the strengths of our industry-leading products will help visionary companies define the future of BI,” said Santiago Becerra, chairman and co-founder of MeLLmo, Inc. “Mobile dashboards simplify viewing and interacting with business reports on-the-go, which is very helpful for staying connected to company information. However, mobile BI applications encourage exploration and asking new questions, guiding people to better decisions than they would reach with any alternative — even on diverse and changing data.”
