MUMBAI, INDIA: Seclore Technology, incubated by IIT Bombay and the leading provider of information rights management solutions, has entered into a strategic alliance with Datamatics Technologies Ltd (DTL), the premier service provider of document and workflow management, data warehousing and business intelligence solutions.

The alliance will help Seclore to strengthen its market presence as DTL has an existing rich customer base and a strong focus on the BFSI segment. DTL is one of the largest service providers for IBM FileNet in India, and this alliance will enable it to extend its offerings and include information security in its focus.

Vishal Gupta, CEO, Seclore, said: “We have been seeking strategic partnerships from service providers who have proved their capabilities and are looking to provide more wholesome offerings to their target base. In Datamatics, we have found such a partner.”

Seclore’s flagship solution FileSecure is aptly positioned to address document protection and information security needs of the BFSI and engineering services companies. Companies in these industries need to share sensitive data with business partners, but would like to retain the control of the information shared.

Existing security mechanisms enable enterprises to provide access control; however, they cannot fully control how the information is used by the recipient. Also, once the document is shared, there is almost no way to recall or “un-share” the document, if such a need arises. FileSecure not only provides the flexibility to define different usage rights for different users on the same document, but also these rights can be changed dynamically and made applicable without having to resend the document.

The partnership aims at bringing together the technology and services synergy to address the information security needs of the BFSI and engineering services sectors. The alliance with DTL is in line with Seclore’s focus of driving revenues through its alliance partners.
