The MoU was signed by Atulya Kumar Naik, Addl. GM (PS), SECI and S.K. Sakhuja, company secretary, DMRC, in the presence of Shri Tarun Kapoor, MD, SECI and Shri Mangu Singh, MD, DMRC.

The MoU envisages collaboration in the areas of grid-connected rooftop PV systems on metro stations and other buildings, for which SECI may organize 30 percent subsidy support from MNRE, and also ground-mounted PV systems in the surplus lands available with DMRC.

The two organizations will also endeavour to collaborate in implementing integrative roof-top solutions - also known as building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) as a pilot project on a select building. These projects will become a model and open up immense possibilities for promotion of Solar energy and reduction of carbon footprint throughout India.
