Scandent to hire 600 in India

BANGALORE: IT services provider, Scandent Solutions is planning to hire 600 people as part of its expansion plans for the Chennai facility in the next one year. The company is also planning to focus on the domestic market aggressively. Currently, the company has 900 people in it two locations — Bangalore and Chennai.



“We have big plans for India, in both the development side and the market front. The country is ready for the services offered by Scandent,” said CEO Scandent Solutions, Dilip Keshu, to CIOL. To drive the growth, Scandent would soon recruit a managing director specifically for India operations, he said.



Till recently, Scandent was focused on software development in India, and had a small presence in the banking segment. As per the new plans, the company would aggressively focus on customer acquisitions automotive, healthcare, FMCG and banking segments, he said.



To start with, the company has recently won a Rs 6.5 crore product lifecycle management (PLM) deal from Ashok Leyland. “We will be a name to reckon with in the next three years, Keshu said.
