HYDERABAD: The company has already identified the place near Hyderabad and the work is going to start within a period of three months. "We are going to have a BPO campus with all the facilities from training to accommodation for more than 6,000 employees. We have identified 16 acres of land for the project and the work will start very soon," said a highly placed source at the corporate communications div., Satyam.

As of now, Nipuna is serving three clients on pilot basis including a client in healthcare, telecom management and semiconductor area. The BPO arm is looking forward to increase its marketing efforts in the US and the European region for the coming months.

"We have a team of about 100 people as we grow soon we are going to occupy more space at the Hitech city phase two center. We will be 300 within a period of six months. We are not looking at rapid growth and it will depend on the number of clients that we eventually acquire for BPO contracts," the source explained.

Satyam has a client base of more than 250 spread all across the globe and it has a clear-cut advantage when it comes to approaching a client for outsourcing deals. The company would be leveraging on its existing client base and converting them to its customers at some point of time. Nipuna is the latest venture for the software services giant and the company is expecting to generate revenues from this initiative from the next quarter.
