BANGALORE: Satyam Computer Services' e-Valuate, an asset verification
business solution for financial institutions, has been declared as one of the
top three finalists at the MEC Awards 2001 in the Best Use of Mobile
Technologies category.
The awards are given to companies that build innovative business solutions
using Exchange 2000's built-in services and its support for Web-standard
protocols, including Extensible Markup Language (XML) and WebDAV.
Microsoft's Best Use of Mobile Technologies award recognizes a solution,
product, or service that positively impacts strategic business processes and
extends the value of Exchange 2000 by the innovative and creative use of one or
more mobile technologies such as the Pocket PC, wireless, or unified messaging
to solve real business problems.
"Microsoft is pleased to honor Satyam as a top finalist in MEC awards
2001 for Best Use of Mobile Technologies category," said Exchange Group
product manager Kevin McCuistion. "When combining Exchange 2000 and
solutions like e-Valuate, customers can automate their business processes and
empower their employees to improve productivity."
e-Valuate provides financial institutions the ability to interoperate with
disparate computer systems across the Internet, the agility to manage
information better and the capability to deliver superior speed-to-value. By
implementing e-Valuate, financial institutions can eliminate inefficiencies,
decrease the risk of fraud, save on costs, while ensuring the highest quality of
services leading to customer satisfaction.
Based completely on the Microsoft .NET framework, e-Valuate uses the
Exchange2000 SDK Workflow application to define a comprehensive asset
verification workflow. Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 is the messaging platform
that provides e-mail, scheduling, online forms, and the tools for custom
collaboration and messaging-service applications.
Additionally, Exchange 2000 is integrated with Microsoft's new Mobile
Information 2001 server, a member of the Microsoft .NET server family, to manage
personalization and network access for field personnel with mobile devices, and
solve the fundamental challenge of assuring end-to-end security between handsets
and applications or Web sites behind a firewall.
Satyam senior vice president John Devasahayam said, "Satyam is honored
to be recognized by the leading industry experts who served as judges for this
event. This validates our conviction that e-Valuate extends the value of
Exchange 2000 to solve real business problems for our joint customers."
Satyam has embraced Microsoft Exchange 2000 in many of its high-value domain
solutions based on the Microsoft .NET framework. Exchange 2000 is the
easy-to-manage messaging and collaboration platform that provides e-mail,
calendaring, instant messaging, conferencing, and services for custom
collaborative solutions that bring people and information together anytime,
anywhere. Exchange 2000 delivers enhanced reliability, scalability,
manageability and performance with a lower total cost of ownership.
