SAP to reinvigorate its Independent User Group community

BANGALORE, INDIA: In a move to deepen its customer engagement, SAP has announced the reinvigoration of itsIndia User Group of SAP (INDUS). Registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 as a not-for-profit organization, INDUS is dedicated to the advancement, understanding and productive use of SAP services. The objective of the platform is to bring value to member companies of all sizes through unmatched intellectual capital, networking opportunities and a forum to influence SAP. In addition, INDUS will liase with other groups and associations with similar objectives.

This initiative is witnessing strong enthusiasm among SAP users. INDUS has already registered over 40 user groups and sub-groups and is growing its member base rapidly. Serving as an interactive venue for SAP users, INDUS allows the networking and sharing of best practices through specialized trainings and workshops. Moderated by SAP, the user groups not only learn how to better optimize their SAP implementation, but also gain additional insight into current and new product features.

“Our immediate goal is to expand the representation of INDUS and become even more responsive to customers' needs. A fully independent User Group will provide us with a collaborative forum through which we can effectively add value to our customers' overall SAP suite experience. This user community establishes a stronger basis for the relationship with SAP and we are very excited to proceed together in developing meaningful and sustained benefits for all members,” said Subhash Palkar, President, INDUS.

In order to create ample opportunities for all its stakeholders, INDUS will have National (Sub Continent) chapters combined with Regional (NEWS), Country (Sri Lanka, Bangladesh) & Vertical / Solution / Segment Interest Groups ( Oil & Gas, Automotive, Retail, SRM , SME etc). Provisions exist to create other focus groups as per need. SAP has User Groups worldwide operating as independent bodies. They include ASUG (Americas’ SAP User Group), SAUG(SAP Australian User Group) and DSAG (German – Speaking SAP User Group).
