SAP Labs India appoints new managing director

BANGALORE, INDIA: SAP Labs India formally announced that Anirban Dey (Andy), has been appointed managing director effective January 1, 2013. Taking over from his current role as vice president, In-Memory Platform Technologies, Andy will further drive operational efficiency, speed up innovation and steer SAP Labs in its next phase of growth, said a press release. Andy succeeds V R Ferose, who will be the head of Globalisation Services Organisation.

Andy has been with SAP since 2008, and has over 15 years of expertise in technology and applications development. He has degrees from The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, The University of Nebraska, Lincoln, USA, and Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, USA.

''SAP Labs India has contributed significantly to SAP's products and technologies and plays a key role in the SAP eco-system. Andy's leadership will be a great asset in taking Labs India to greater heights," said Clas Neumann, Senior Vice President and Global Head of the SAP Labs Network.
