SanDisk appoints Beetel as retail distributor

NEW DELHI, INDIA: SanDisk Corporation, a flash memory storage solutions provider, on Monday announced that it is broadening the distribution of its mobile memory cards in India.

SanDisk selected Beetel Teletech as an authorized distributor for SanDisk’s wide range of mobile products, said a press release.

Beetel Teletech — a Bharti Enterprises Group company and manufacturer of telecom and IT products — will distribute SanDisk products to IT and Telecom channels across the country.

According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), India has 851.7 million mobile subscribers, representing 50 per cent more users with mobile phone than owners of televisions.

This large user base is fueling the demand for flash memory cards that expand the built-in storage capacity of mobile phones.

Beetel’s strong retail presence in multiple cities will help SanDisk penetrate deeper into the Indian market and provide easier access to its mobile memory products.

SanDisk mobile memory cards expand the storage capacity of mobile phones, providing consumers with more room for music, photos, videos, games, and software applications. The cards are backed by and come in 2 gigabyte (GB), 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities to meet a wide range of storage needs.
